Sabrina Foulks-Thomas is a highly regarded midwife, speaker, lactation consultant, and community advocate. She is the proud owner of Birth in Color Midwifery, LLC, where she practices as the first African American Certified Professional Midwife in the state of Wisconsin. Sabrina is also the Founder and Executive Director of the Birth in Color Initiative, Inc., an organization that focuses on equipping families with health literacy skills, especially women of child-bearing age, to help reduce infant mortality and maternal morbidity in families of color.

Sabrina’s passion for adult and youth mental health advocacy is evident in her work, where she provides support and guidance to families on all elements of health literacy. She holds a B.A. in Physiology and Chemistry with a minor in American Sign Language from the University of Minnesota. Sabrina also earned an Associates Degree in Science in Nursing from Cardinal Stritch University.

With her wealth of experience and expertise, Sabrina is a valuable asset to the healthcare community. Her dedication to improving health outcomes for families of color is truly inspiring, and her tireless efforts continue to create positive change in the lives of those she serves.
